Our Mighty Oaks classroom is the final chapter of your child’s Wind ’n Willow journey—a year filled with confidence, discovery, leadership, and preparation for the exciting adventure of kindergarten.
Just as a mighty oak grows from strong roots, our Pre-K students flourish because of the foundation they have built through years of nurturing relationships, purposeful play, and meaningful learning experiences. By this stage, children have developed the confidence to ask questions, solve problems, think independently, and embrace new challenges with excitement.

In our Mighty Oaks classroom, children are encouraged to become leaders, role models, and compassionate classmates. They learn to work collaboratively, show empathy, respect different perspectives, and take pride in helping others. We foster resilience by encouraging children to persevere through challenges, celebrate mistakes as opportunities to learn, and believe in their own abilities.
Our comprehensive Pre-K curriculum is thoughtfully designed to prepare children academically, socially, emotionally, and physically for kindergarten while preserving the joy and wonder of childhood. Through engaging thematic units, project-based learning, hands-on exploration, STEM experiences, literacy, mathematics, science, art, music, dramatic play, cooking, technology, and outdoor discovery, children are inspired to become confident, lifelong learners.
Every day is filled with opportunities to strengthen early reading, writing, math, science, and critical thinking skills. Children build phonemic awareness, recognize and write uppercase and lowercase letters, blend sounds, develop beginning reading skills, write sentences, expand vocabulary, strengthen handwriting, explore number concepts, solve math problems, investigate science, and develop creative thinking through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
School readiness extends far beyond academics. Children continue developing executive functioning skills by planning, organizing, following multi-step directions, managing responsibilities, completing long-term projects, and working both independently and collaboratively. They practice self-control, perseverance, flexible thinking, and confidence as they prepare for the routines and expectations of kindergarten.
Learning comes alive through classroom investigations, learning centers, creative arts, sensory exploration, dramatic play, nature studies, community experiences, and outdoor adventures. Every experience encourages curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a genuine love of learning.
Most importantly, our Mighty Oaks leave Wind ‘n Willow knowing they are capable, kind, confident, and ready for whatever comes next. They don’t simply graduate academically—they graduate believing in themselves.
